Rohana Game Project

Concept

A personal project I designed with some friends in both New Jersey and Boston. I wanted to practice my conceptual art skills while also exploring a game idea. I enlisted the help of friends in Computer Science, Game Design, and Animation. As the project manager, I set timelines, objectives, and assigned roles. The project became a great way for different-minded students to collaborate.

I designed three playable characters as well as two of the spiritual deities, as shown on the far right. The creatures to their left are two additional spirit designs the player could interact with when playing the game. Finally, I designed the map of the character Norbu’s home town.

Game

The game will be an open-world, action-adventure, RPG. Set in a fantasy world, 3 spiritual deities and an army of magical spirits reign at the top of the food chain. Humans have been forced into hiding and are terrified of the spirits and the outside world. The player can choose either a character named Norbu, Kinta, or Haven who live in different settlements around the “world”. The goal is to take back the over-world from the spirits by taking down the 3 spiritual deities of the land, sea, and sky.
